Experience
Bill Timmons is head of the Real Estate practice group and works on a broad range of real estate matters including finance, acquisitions, leasing and development transactions. He has significant experience in representing lenders in a range of financing transactions including construction, permanent and revolving credit loans in the Southeast and other areas of the country.
A substantial portion of Mr. Timmons' practice involves negotiating and closing syndicated secured and unsecured revolving credit loans to REITs and other real estate companies, involving real estate projects across the U.S. He also regularly represents clients in the closing acquisition of mezzanine loans, first-loss participations in securitized mortgage loans and other senior/subordinated structured debt. His work also includes the representation of both landlords and tenants in retail, office and industrial leases and the representation of institutions, developers and corporations in the acquisition, development, financing and disposition of properties.
Mr. Timmons is also active in restructuring and resolution of distressed transactions.
Mr. Timmons is a frequent speaker on real estate topics before both business and legal groups. The US Legal 500 2009 ranked him as a leading individual in real estate. He also was named a Georgia Super Lawyer in Atlanta magazine in 2008 and 2009.
