Experience
Paul Bird is an associate in the Toxic Tort Litigation Group of McKenna Long & Aldridge's San Francisco office. In his practice, Bird concentrates in the defense against product liability and premises liability claims for a wide variety of national and regional companies.
Bird handles all aspects of the litigation, from the drafting and analysis of discovery to the drafting and arguing of dispositive motions and trial support. While at McKenna Long & Aldridge, Bird has successfully argued numerous motions for summary judgment which brought positive resolution of the matters for the firm’s client.
Bird is a former United States Army Airborne-qualified Armor officer. He served in South Korea near the DMZ (DeMilitarized Zone) as well as in West Germany prior to the fall of the Berlin wall.
Currently Bird is active in BALiF (Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom), which serves to take action on questions of law and justice that affect the LGBT community, and a member of both the San Francisco TIC Coalition and Plan C San Francisco, organizations that seek to ensure equal access to housing for individuals and families. Bird is a former board member of the San Francisco Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service.
