LOAN SERVICING: DESCRIPTION
As the conduit lending market has evolved and matured, we have become integrally involved in assisting loan servicers with their growing needs. Particularly, we have developed substantial expertise with respect to assumptions of conduit loans, transfers of interest in conduit borrowers' substitutions of collateral, and the unique characteristics of special servicers in connection with specially serviced CMBS loans. We have been involved in over 150 of these transactions and have worked with our clients to close these transactions in an efficient manner while at the same time protecting the interests of the servicer and certificate holders.

- Representation of a REMIC Trust in connection with the assumption of a $58,400,000 loan secured by various neighborhood shopping centers located in four states.
- Representation of a REMIC Trust in connection with the restructure of a $155,000,000 loan secured by a regional mall and entertainment complex located in Texas.
- Representation of a REMIC Trust in connection with the transfer of interests in a borrower to create a so-called "up-REIT" structure for purposes of owning a large festival marketplace located in Boston, Massachusetts securing a $55,000,000 loan.
- Representation of a REMIC Trust in connection with the restructure of the collateral security for an $88,000,000 loan secured by various hotels located in four states.
- Representation of a REMIC Trust in connection with the transfer of interests in the equity structure of a borrower under a $110,500,000 loan secured by various retail properties.
