PROFILE

Thomas Strueber concentrates his practice in complex tort, commercial and insurance litigation, with particular emphasis on matters arising from:

  • aviation litigation
  • compliance with federal, state and international aviation regulations 
  • insurance coverage disputes
  • transportation accidents and related environmental and regulatory disputes
  • multi-district and class-action litigation      

With more than 25 years experience before state, federal and appellate courts throughout the United States, Mr. Strueber has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” by Atlanta Magazine and Law & Politics, and has been identified as one of Georgia’s “finest aviation specialists” by Who’s Who Legal 2007. 

Mr. Strueber “comes highly recommended for his work on contract disputes, product liability, insurance coverage and lawsuits arising from accidents in the aviation industry,” according to Who’s Who Legal

Mr. Strueber is a graduate of the Institute of Aviation at the University of Illinois, where he earned an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic’s license, and holds a commercial pilot’s license with instrument and multiengine ratings.  Having served as a Director of the Aviation Insurance Association and as Vice-Chairman of the Aviation Litigation Committee of the Torts and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, Mr. Strueber is well-known in the aviation legal community.  He is a longstanding member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators and a frequent lecturer on air law issues at industry events and seminars, including the annual SMU Air Law Symposium in Dallas, Texas

Mr. Strueber has represented numerous major airlines, commuter airlines, airframe and component part manufacturers, airports, FBOs and aviation insurers.  He has coordinated high-profile matters across the United States involving confidential FAA regulatory matters, NTSB investigations, mass disaster litigation, accidents involving military aircraft and components, general aviation crashes, aircraft lease and contract disputes, and aviation insurance coverage litigation.
