Ivan Bilaniuk is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office, where he is a member of the litigation department and the firm’s international practice group. Ivan practices in the complex civil litigation and international areas.
Prior to joining the firm, Ivan clerked for the Honorable F. Bradford Stillman, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. In 2002, Ivan worked as a legal clerk for the Office of Chief Counsel for Industry and Security at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Prior to law school, Ivan worked as an analyst at a management consulting firm in the telecommunications and retail banking sectors and as a program officer for a research institute devoted to legal and economic affairs of the United States, the European Union, and Russia.
Ivan graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law where he was a member of the Virginia Journal for International Law editorial board. Ivan was selected to be a Dillard Fellow teaching assistant for the Legal Research and Writing Program. Ivan received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Harvard University in 1994, and his master’s degree in Regional Studies: Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia also from Harvard University in 1997.
