PROFILE

Audrey E. Klein is a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property Department. Her practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, prosecution and counseling.

Audrey has been involved in numerous patent, trademark and trade dress litigations, participating in and/or leading the written and oral discovery process, and motions practice. Audrey has experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a wide variety of technologies, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical and medical device patents. She has experience advising and assisting chemical, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical companies on intellectual property issues, including the intellectual property aspects of Hatch-Waxman related issues, such as patent term extension, orphan and pediatric exclusivity, Medicare reform, and drug importation. In addition, she has conducted due diligence investigations; prepared IP licensing agreements; and prepared invalidity and non-infringement analyses and/or opinions in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical and medical device fields.

Audrey received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, cum laude in 1990. She received her B.S. from Temple University School of Pharmacy, magna cum laude in 1984, where she was a member of Rho Chi Pharmaceutical Honor Society. Audrey also holds pharmaceutical licenses in the states of California and Pennsylvania.
