PROFILE

Nicole Balaci is an associate in the Washington, DC office. She is a member of the Litigation Department.

Nicole focuses her practice on general litigation, white collar criminal defense, and commercial disputes. She has represented individuals and corporations in a variety of litigation-related matters including civil RICO, fraud disputes, and business tort disputes.

Nicole also routinely works with clients who sell homeland security products and services, and provides counseling on the regulatory process for obtaining SAFETY Act coverage from the Department of Homeland Security. The SAFETY Act, a part of the Homeland Security Act of 2002, protects companies from tort lawsuits arising out of the sale of homeland security products and services.

Nicole graduated magna cum laude from the Syracuse University College of Law. In law school, she served on the Syracuse Law Review as an Associate Notes and Comments Editor. Nicole was also a member of the Justinian Honor Society and the Order of the Coif.

Previously, Nicole has worked as a legal extern in the New York State Attorney General's Office, as a communications aide for the New York State Senate, and as a television news reporter and producer.
