PROFILE

Randy Grossman is a trial lawyer who has successfully represented corporations, officers, directors and employees in both complex civil litigation and as a white collar criminal defense attorney.  Randy’s diverse litigation experience includes cases involving class actions, employment law, securities, unfair competition, and fraud.  Randy has tried cases in federal and state courts, and he has represented clients in enforcement proceedings brought by federal, state, and local administrative agencies.  Randy also represents clients with internal investigations and developing practical compliance programs to help avoid litigation.

Randy has tried more than 80 cases to jury verdict. He is a former Deputy District Attorney for San Diego County, where he tried complex and high-profile cases, including a lengthy homicide trial featured on the NBC documentary, Law and Order: Crime and Punishment.

Randy is actively involved in pro bono work and is a member of the governing Board of Directors for Walden Family Services, a foster care agency that supports children and families throughout Southern California

  • Trial counsel in the successful defense of a hospital in a criminal case brought by the United States Attorney concerning alleged violations of a federal anti-kickback statute 
  • Trial counsel in the successful defense of a mortgage fund in a civil securities fraud action brought by the Securities Exchange Commission 
  • Negotiated dismissal of environmental crime charges brought by the San Diego County District Attorney against a food distribution company and its president 
  • Negotiated favorable settlement of civil unfair competition charges brought by the California Attorney General against a national retail chain 
  • Negotiated dismissal of class action claims and favorable settlements in wage and hour cases.
