Ray Aragon is an experienced civil litigator whose clients have sought his assistance with product liability claims, commercial contract disputes, intellectual property disputes, negligence claims and government contract issues.

The scope of Ray's practice is borne out by a sampling of recent cases. Ray is national coordinating counsel for several pharmaceutical manufacturers in the "fen-phen" diet drug litigation, defending more than 7,000 claims in state and federal courts across the country. Ray is lead defense counsel in several national class actions against pharmaceutical manufacturers, and has developed novel and effective pretrial defenses to minimize or eliminate the liability of the firm's clients. He has also defended an electronics manufacturer against claims that its cell phones caused radiation injury.

Ray defends government contractors when weapons systems or other government products are alleged to have caused injury, and also is experienced in addressing the indemnity issues that arise in product liability litigation.

Ray's commercial litigation experience includes representing a Fortune 100 corporation seeking to recover more than $100 million in environmental liabilities, advancing the claims of an aerospace subcontractor in litigation following the termination of a major defense contract, and representing business distributors against allegations of misconduct and business interference.

Ray, a Yale Law graduate, has written or co-authored a number of articles for such publications as Litigation, The Government Contractor and The National Law Journal, and frequently lectures on product liability and indemnity issues.
