PROFILE

Charles Pomeroy practices environmental regulatory compliance, transactional counseling and administrative law, with particular emphasis on California's unique regulatory systems. His practice routinely addresses many related areas, including real estate, insurance, OSHA regulations and tax.

Mr. Pomeroy advises and represents manufacturing and service companies, including metal finishers, industrial laundries, die casters and can makers in various aspects of complying with environmental laws and regulations, from hazardous waste and waste minimization to regulations governing air quality and New Source Review, wastewater, site investigation, environmental remediation and OSHA. As both a California Registered Environmental Health Specialist and Registered Environmental Assessor, Mr. Pomeroy performs on-site physical and paperwork evaluations which assess federal and state environmental and occupational regulations. His range of skills makes him invaluable in commercial real estate transactions and business acquisitions across the country. Mr. Pomeroy is unusually adept at combining scientific, technical and legal expertise to create cost-effective compliance solutions. Because of both his environmental and occupational health education and his private industry experience as an environmental and occupational specialist for Weiser Lock, Lockheed and Aerojet Ordnance, he is able to work effectively not only with legal counsel, but also in-house technical staff, consulting scientists and engineers.

Mr. Pomeroy has written articles for a number of trade journals. He is a former adjunct professor in the Environmental and Occupational Health program at California State University and is currently teaching OSHA law at the University of California at Irvine.
