PROFILE

Karen Lawlor focuses her practice on commercial real estate leasing, acquisitions and dispositions and development and has extensive experience representing major corporations, institutions, lenders, investors and developers, in a broad range of transactions.

Karen represents clients in negotiating leases, including office, retail and industrial leases, ground leases and subleases, from both a landlord and tenant perspective, and the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate and ownership interests, including unimproved/pre-development property, office buildings, hotels, industrial buildings and retail projects. 

Additionally, Karen has broad expertise in a wide range of development related documents including CC&Rs, easements, development agreements, indemnification agreements, rights of first offer and refusal, option agreements and site access agreements.  She is also experienced in negotiating loan documentation and drafting loan opinions.
