PROFILE
Timothy J. Plunkett is an Associate in the Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs practice. His clients span various industries including media, telecommunications, finance, energy (including alternative energy), real estate and technology. Tim’s tasks include assisting clients in developing and implementing strategies to achieve their public policy objectives. This includes drafting and monitoring legislation as well as direct representation before regulatory agencies and administrators.
Before joining The Plunkett & Jaffe Group of McKenna Long & Aldridge, Mr. Plunkett worked as a Senior Policy Advisor to the New York State Assembly Minority Leader’s Office on matters relating to the events of September 11th. Prior to his service in government, Mr. Plunkett worked as a technology consultant focusing on globalization and also as an investment banker at Citigroup specializing in Public Finance transactions.
Mr. Plunkett graduated with his J.D. from Fordham Law School in 2005. While in law school Tim acted as an intern for the United States Department of Justice in the U.S. Attorneys Office of the Southern District of New York. He graduated from Georgetown University in 1997 where he earned his B.A. in American Government. Mr. Plunkett is a member of the Bar of the State of Connecticut as well as the Bar of the State of New York.
