A Vital Update from Inside DC

• What federal appropriations remain in play?

Plus a special update:

• Reconstruction & Relief Issues After Katrina
  • The special challenges of accounting for relief efforts under government contracts
  • Impact on appropriations and procurement
  • Homeland security implications

The event featured four keynote speakers including:

	Joshua Hochberg - Former Chief of the Fraud Section, Criminal Division, at the Department of Justice; Partner, McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP
	Jason Klitenic - Former Deputy General Counsel, Department of Homeland Security and Deputy Associate Attorney General, Justice Department ; Partner , McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP
	Alan Chvotkin, Senior Vice President and Counsel, Professional Services Council
	Steve Sorett - Partner, McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP

Congress is in the midst of its Fall legislative calendar and is working through appropriations bills and DoD authorizations. This program provided an update of actions taken thus far and ongoing critical issues that impact the federal procurement community. These issues were addressed in a context with the overall procurement agenda of the Bush Administration.
