Eight years after Torys LLP closed its ill-fated merger with New York's Haythe & Curley, only half a dozen of the Manhattan firm's original 60 lawyers remain. This week, Torys lost another as politically well connected litigator Charles 'Trip' Dorkey resigned to start a litigation team at mid-sized national firm McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP. Mr. Dorkey is the latest of a number of lawyers to exit Torys' Manhattan office, which has shrunk to about 50 lawyers from 80 two years ago.
